Application: Used for whole blood analysis in hematology, PCR testing, and blood group determination.
The inner tube wall is coated with K3 EDTA, an alternative form of EDTA, serving as an anticoagulant. K3 EDTA affects the volume of packed cells in centrifuged blood.
Instructions: Immediately after sample collection, gently invert the tube 9–10 times to ensure thorough mixing. Insufficient mixing may lead to platelet aggregation, microclot formation, or coagulation.
